Issues With Firefall - Minipost

An anonymous commenter requested that I do a review over Firefall. Regardless of how dead the site seems or how busy I am, I will still be taking any requests seriously. However, I can't do a review over Firefall at the moment because of a significant graphics error that seems to only be affecting me and my computer. The glitch is detailed in this video:

I'll be using this same video to try to get some help and fix this issue, but unless it gets fixed I can't review the game. It's distracting, it hinders my performance, and any screenshots I take would be messed up. This is the only game I've played to date that has had a problem like this on my computer, and while I would like to just get a new computer, I don't have the money for that. I apologize Anonymous and if you want to request any other game please don't hesitate to do so.

Rift n' Raptr - Minipost

If you don't already have it, you should go and pick up a program called "Raptr". It has a bunch of cool stuff, most notably its reward system. Raptr will receive reward promotions from different games, including free-to-play MMOs, that you can get access to by simply playing the respective game.

Well, Rift is going free-to-play on the 12th of this month (June). Go and download the Lite version, play it, and you can earn a free full-version copy of the game, among other goodies, from the Raptr rewards system. Good luck.

Soaring Wonder - War Thunder Review

War Thunder is a combat flight simulation game created by Gaijin Entertainment and currently in open beta. More than just a little ambitious, this flight sim aims to be as accurate as possible while still being a playable game for the masses. Some aspects of the game will be familiar to you if you have ever played World of Tanks, however many players currently consider War Thunder to simply be a much better game.

Now why would they think that...?
This is definitely a very polished game. The developers seemed to have gone through extreme lengths to make the game very immersive with huge battlefields, breathtaking graphics, and interesting gameplay tweaks. I hope you have some free time on hand because this game just might consume you with everything it has to offer.

Time to Get Serious

I'm going to start updating and posting reviews on a set schedule. I don't want people to think this website is dead, or that I've left it. I've posted a poll on the right side of the page asking you which general schedule you would like to see. Please vote and leave a comment!

EDIT: Blogger's poll widget is very bad. The first few votes made were not counted, so I'm replacing the poll with one from another source.

Sixth Thought - Just For the End-Game?

I always hear about the end-game in MMORPGs, mostly from people I talk to in-game. Usually, the sentiment is something similar to "why did I bother doing all this work if the end-game sucks?"

Why did you bother playing the game at all if all you wanted to see was the end-game?

Don't get me wrong, I understand why the end-game is so special. For a lot of MMOs, it can be up to half the game or more. You get to the max level and it practically opens up a whole new world filled with endless guilds, quests, friends and possibilities. I just don't understand why people will act like that's the entire game. You spent hours, days, weeks, possibly even months farming and leveling up only to get to the end and say "well that was disappointing". Did you not enjoy the road?
